Pride In Halton 2024

Pride in Halton 2024: Celebrating Identity, Inclusion, and Student Voice

Our students had an incredible opportunity to attend and participate in the Pride in Halton 2024 event—a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community spirit. In the weeks leading up to the event, students channeled their creativity and teamwork into designing and making a range of handmade items, which they then sold at their very own stall to raise funds for our student group and future inclusion-focused initiatives.

From badges and bags to cups and pride-themed bath salts, the students’ products were a hit with attendees. The fundraising effort was matched by an equally important goal: to create a welcoming, interactive space. At their stall, students also ran a free activity inviting people to create their own custom pronoun badges—a thoughtful way to support gender expression and promote conversations around identity and respect.

Throughout the day, students had time to explore the event, engaging with a wide range of stalls run by local organisations, including Hazelhurst, a local church, and other community groups. They also enjoyed live performances from local choirs and singers, soaking in the lively and supportive atmosphere of the celebration.

Attending Pride in Halton 2024 wasn’t just a trip—it was a meaningful experience that empowered our students to take part in something bigger, express themselves proudly, and contribute to an inclusive future. We are so proud of their commitment, creativity, and compassion.
