Preparing for Pride in Halton 2024: A Celebration of Creativity and Community

In the weeks leading up to Pride in Halton 2024, our students poured their hearts into a vibrant celebration of identity, creativity, and community spirit. Every week was filled with color, laughter, and purpose as we prepared for this important event.

One of our favorite projects was designing and creating handmade tote bags. Each bag was a personal statement—decorated with LGBTQ+ flags, motivational phrases, and images of the things our students love. The goal? To spread positivity, pride, and self-expression.

But we didn’t stop there. Our creative energy flowed into making Pride-themed cups, bath salts, badges, and even colorful loom band accessories. These projects weren’t just about crafting—they were about conversations, shared ideas, and building a space where everyone felt seen and celebrated.

Behind every item was a story, a message, or a memory—and a lot of hard work. Week after week, students showed up with passion and enthusiasm, ready to contribute. Their dedication and teamwork turned our Pride preparations into something truly special.

As we head into Pride in Halton 2024, we couldn’t be prouder of our students. They’ve shown that when creativity meets community, powerful things happen. We’re excited to share all we’ve made—and all we stand for—with everyone.
